Market Commentary

Analysts-of-record across our sectors.

Industrial Services

Roll-up appetite from strategic acquirers remains the dominant theme, with mid-sized operators consolidating fragmented regional niches. Sponsors are competing selectively where management depth survives the integration thesis. Valuations have stabilized at the lower end of historical multiples, but quality of earnings — and the durability of the contracted book — separates the bids that close from the ones that do not.

Healthcare Services

Regulatory overhang continues to compress entry multiples in physician-services and home-based care, but well-positioned platforms with diversified payor mix and demonstrable clinical outcomes are still attracting both strategic and financial capital. The market is bifurcated: process discipline at the diligence stage has become the single largest determinant of close rate.

Software & Vertical SaaS

Public-market compression has reset expectations across the vertical, but private buyers — particularly sponsors and strategic platforms that have already absorbed 2022–2023 write-downs — are returning with sharper underwriting and longer hold assumptions. Operators with proven net retention and identifiable expansion vectors are still transacting at premium multiples; the rest are pricing for cash today, not story.
